Thank you, Congress...

...for the additional $134 per month I will receive thanks to your incredible hard work, the first half of which I received in my paycheck today.  My oh my! I cannot wait to get out and spend this tremendous sum of money, which you fought hard to provide me. Also, thanks for giving it out to people in proportion to how much they make; a less-fair legislature might have given more of a tax break to the poor than they gave to the rest of us.

I am sure it will stimulate the economy greatly. In fact, I think I will use it to create a job. I'll have that oft-mentioned small business I work for pool together all of the savings and, with the total, we will  create one extremely low-paying job. I dare say, you may have saved the middle class (and don't worry about those socialists in our midst wringing their hands about the lower class). Hurrah! What a boon for our economy; for our future. Much better than the alternatives (e.g. improving our sub-par education system, reducing our national debt, funding social security, et al.). Thank goodness we didn't have to cut our spending in Afghanistan; to do so might have jeopardized our now-imminent victory there. Nope, now our economy is saved and we can get back to the business of buying flat screen televisions (have you heard about 3D TV?!). This is going to be great. I mean, really great.
