A Land-Use Defeat I'm Happy About

Usually, when a city denies a permit application I'm involved in, it means I just lost a case. Not so today, dear readers.

The 14-story Martin Selig project that was proposed for the lot that sits between my windows and Elliot Bay got rejected by the City of Seattle for the second time on Tuesday. The project appears to be dead, which means the view above will be preserved for the foreseeable future. Yay for NIMBYs!

What? Your building doesn't have a "view preservation corridor" agreement or whatever those are called? Congrats! We're pleased for you too. C&D
