This is the Leela, where we had an awesome dinner the other night and afternoon tea and coffee today.
In the garden at the Leela.
A and I also visited a Hindu shrine - the Bull Temple - in west Bangalore today.
Monkey acrobatics on a part of the temple complex.
I presume, although I do not know, that this bull had some special significance, given that it's at the Bull Temple and given that it appears to have two additional limbs growing from the center of its back. In any event, people were paying rupees to its owner for the privilege of touching it, so it must be special.
Swastikas are a significant symbol in both Hinduism (as here) and Buddhism; the word itself originates in Sanskrit. Still, it takes some getting used to, seeing them all over the place.
In Hindu shrines, you have to remove your shoes and, in the midst of a large city, they have some guys to watch your shoes, for ten rupees. Here, Adam is redeeming our shoes from the shoe guy.

I love the shoe guy photo because of the two men on the right. I wonder what they were talking about? Jaime and D (I know I am not supposed to post her name) look so beautiful. You too! ha...Chris and Jen came to Yakima for the day, it was so good to see them. Chris was a huge help with some electrical stuff. We love you guys. Have fun! xoxoxo
